We’re returning to Valentia, Co Kerry for the June Bank Holiday. We have visited Valentia for 9
years now and it without doubt has some of our favourite Irish diving. Diving off one of Ireland’s more westerly points, dive sites are big, dramatic events with boulders, drop offs and swim throughs that will take your breath away. And if we’re lucky with the weather, we’ll get out to visit the Skelligs again. The Skelligs has endless drop offs and are just awash with colour. On our last few trips there we had young seals playing with us in the water at the end of our dive!
Obviously the high light of previous trips has been the basking sharks, mostly seen from the boat but some lucky divers got to see one while diving. Although we can’t guarantee that, it certainly was the icing on the cake!
We diving with Sandra & Martin at Valentia Island Seasports in Knightstown, and have booked the same self catering houses we had last year. They really were excellent. Each house has four bedrooms and although can take up to 7 people, we had 5 or 6 in each house. We have booked 3 houses beside each other and so again, should make for great craic!
We’re travelling down to Valentia on Friday, 4th June. Divers will do 5 dives over the weekend (2
Saturday, 2 Sunday and 1 Monday) and will leave on Monday lunchtime.
Although the cost of diving is the same as last year, the cost of the holiday homes has increased a bit. The cost of the weekend this year is €355. That’s for accommodation in the 4 star holiday homes (Glor na Farraige), 5 boat dives and 4 tank fills.
We have 15 places available on this trip. As always, a deposit of €100 secures your place and the balance can be paid the week before we go. This trip is suitable for AOW Divers. Equipment rental and tank rental is available for the weekend, but should be booked in advance.
Just call 041 988 7900 or email us to book your place.
