We are the only Dive Centre in the country with a purpose built facility and dive pool on site - an enormous advantage for scheduling diver training. We try to schedule our PADI Courses and pool dives on a variety of schedules, both mid week evenings and weekends. We can also run tailor made Courses for small groups, or run one-to-one training.
As we built the pool ourselves, it's ideal for dive training. The shallow end is 1.5m deep. This is where your try dives and your Open Water Course will start off in. There are steps for a walk in entry and divers can also practice a controlled seated entry. After practicing your basic skills your Instructor will then bring you to the deep end of the pool.
There is a sheer ledge and the deep end goes to 3m deep. This is ideal for divers when practicing buoyancy skills and ascents & descents. Divers can do either a giant stride or a back roll entry (we have a small seat at the corner of the deep end to facilitate this).
But we don't want to make you too comfortable! We keep the temperature of our pool a bit lower than a regular pool so divers can get fully suited up during their dive training. We encourage you to wear hoods and gloves when practicing your skills to ensure you are well prepared for Open Water.
And because the pool is our own, your training will never be cut short because pool time is over! We always allow ample time for each training session to ensure divers aren't rushed, and have more than enough time to complete each part of their course and have some practice time.
We have a dedicated classroom for all courses. There's free tea and coffee, and sometimes even some chocolate biscuits!
We have a well equipped workshop and are an authorised service centre for Oceanic and Aqualung Dive Gear.
Our compressor fills to 200bar and we have our air quality independently tested quarterly. We stock our rental equipment with Aqualung Dive Gear and Faber Tanks. We sell off about a third of our rental stock each year and replace with new. All our rental equipment is serviced regularly on site. We have recently added new wetsuits to our stock. Equipment rental is included in the price of all Courses except Divemaster.
Our Courses run all year round, we have local diving running from May to September, and dive trips around Ireland and Abroad. We only employ experienced PADI Instructors - all our Instructors have clocked up a huge stock of diving experience around Ireland and Abroad. They all have extensive experience teaching diving in Ireland and can teach a variety of Courses.
All in all, we provide a comprehensive service for all divers, from beginners to experience, from any training agency! We look forward to diving with you!
