We had a great day diving in Carlingford Lough, followed by our Christmas Party in Carlingford Village. Despite a few cancellations due to colds and flu, we had a lively group of divers on Saturday afternoon. Our skipper wore his Santa Hat and divers tucked into a tin of Quality Street on the boat. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and everyone had a good dive, given it was December! Later that evening, we had a larger, lively group meet for a pint, followed by dinner in the Bay Tree restaurant in the heart of the village. Fabulous food and festive cheer ensured a great night ... that went on, and on, and on! Many thanks to Liam for the spot prizes, and to our Hosts at the Bay Tree, Conor & Kristina for a really delicious meal.
After the meal, divers made their way to a local pub, and managed to find Carlingford's main event - the Disco in McKevitts! As if that wasn't enough, the die hards partied on to the small hours on Ross' yacht in the marina. Last ones standing hit the hay at daybreak! Many thanks to everyone who joined us - it was lovely to see such a great turnout of both old and new faces. If you didn't make it this time round, maybe we'll see you at next year's event! Merry Christmas!
