Discover Scuba Diving Try Dive for people to try scuba diving for the first time in the comfort of our purpose built dive pool. This Programme introduces potential divers to breathing underwater
and using scuba equipment. With just a short briefing, new divers begin using scuba equipment and experience a shallow dive in our indoor dive pool with an Instructor on hand to guide you through your first underwater experience.
For some, just trying diving is enough! But those comfortable in the water, the Discover Scuba Programme allows you the opportunity to try some of the diving skills you would learn if you went on to complete a beginner’s course (The PADI Open Water Course).
The Discover Scuba Diving Programme takes about 2 1/2 hours and you’ll be diving in the pool for about 45mins. On arrival at the Dive Centre you will get a 20 minute brief from your Instructor, after which you will be fitted for equipment and taken to our indoor dive pool. While participants get into their wetsuits, the Instructors set up their dive gear - the Instructors fit scuba gear in the water.
Although you won’t necessarily be learning any diving skills, the aim is to make your first underwater experience comfortable, enjoyable and as much fun as possible! Groups are kept to a maximum of eight people in the water at any one time and various underwater games and activities are organized.
Discover Scuba Diving costs €65 per person – this includes all forms and paperwork, use of watertoys, use of all equipment and instruction.
If you have already tried diving with another dive centre, for example on holidays, there is no need for you to do another Discover Scuba Diving Try Dive with us – you can enroll straight onto your PADI Open Water Course.
