The PADI Scuba Review is a half day refresher for divers who have been inactive for 6 months or longer. The Scuba Review will cover both dive theory and dive skills, ensuring divers are ready to start diving again.
On arrival your Divemaster will give you a short quiz covering the main topics from the PADI Open Water course. You will then be fitted for dive gear and brought to the pool where you will run through most of the skills you learned on the PADI Open Water Course.
Divers need to bring togs & towel, a pair of pool shoes/flip flops, dive licence and log book. If you don’t have a log book you can buy a PADI Log Book here on the day to record your Scuba Review. If you have any of your own equipment you should bring that along as well. Anything you don't have will be supplied for you on the day.
At the end of your Scuba Review your Divemaster will sign your log book for you.
Following your Scuba Review your Divemaster may suggest taking a dive guide for your first time diving in the sea, or doing a couple more pool dives to ensure you’re comfortable with your skills and equipment. Pool dives run regularly each month and we have local diving running from the beginning of May until mid-September.
The Scuba Review costs €95. A deposit of €35 is required to hold your booking and the balance can be paid on the day.
To book, either give us a call on 041 988 7900 or drop us a line by email.
If divers still have their Open Water Manual we would suggest reviewing that before the Scuba Review, particularly the dive tables. If you no longer have your Manual you can buy the PADI Scuba Tune Up Workbook to review your dive theory before your Scuba Review. The Scuba Tune Up Workbook costs €16. Either way, if your theory has been reviewed at home it will hopefully mean a little less time in the classroom and a bit more time in the pool on the day!
