First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone involved in adventure sports – just in case. And, you need these skills for the PADI Rescue Diver course. Emergency First Response teaches
first aid and CPR for everyone – not just divers, so your non-dive buddies can join in too.
You’ll learn serious medical emergency response skills in an upbeat, positive environment and gain the confidence needed to help in an emergency. What You Learn in the EFR Primary and Secondary Care Courses
• BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
• AED (automated external defibrillator) use (optional)
• Preventing and caring for shock
• Spinal injury management
• Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
• Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
The Course is run over one full day or two half days/evenings. Participants have a small amount of home study beforehand. During the Course, participants preveiw all sklls and scenarios on DVD, watch Instructor demonstrations, and practice skills through role-play during class.The Emergency First Response is usually scheduled to co-incide with the PADI Rescue Diver Course.
The EFR Course costs €150. A deposit of €100 is needed to book onto the Course and collect your Course Materials. Balance can be paid at the start of your Course. Check out our Dive Calendar for upcoming dates, or drop us a line by email.
