The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Programme lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in a pool. With just a short briefing, new divers begin using
scuba equipment and experience a shallow dive in our indoor dive pool with an Instructor on hand to guide you through your first underwater experience. For some, just trying diving is enough! But for those comfortable in the water, the Discover Scuba Programme allows you the opportunity to try some of the diving skills you would learn if you went on to complete a beginner's course (The PADI Open Water Course).
The Discover Scuba Diving Programme takes about 2 hours and you'll be diving in the pool for about 45mins. On arrival at the Dive Centre you will get a 20 minute brief from your Instructor, after which you will be fitted for equipment and taken to our indoor dive pool. While you get into your wetsuits, your Instructor will set up your dive gear - then it's into the water with your Instructor to take your first underwater breaths. Although you won't necessarily be learning any diving skills, the aim is to make your first underwater experience comfortable, enjoyable and as much fun as possible! However, your Instructor will give you the opportunity to try some of the skills divers learn on the beginners course, the PADI Open Water Course.
Groups are kept to a maximum of eight people in the water at any one time and various underwater games and activities are organised. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Try Dive costs €65 per person. Check out our Dive Calendar for upcoming dates, or drop us a line by email to book in!
