Want to extend your dive season? Tired of climbing back into that wetsuit for the second
dive? Relax on the dive boat after your dive, rather than huddle and shiver your way home!
Drysuit diving is the best way to stay warm for divers who want to do multiple dives, all year round. However, there are some extra considerations to drysuit diving that you need to be aware of.
Divers need to be trained in proper techniques and this is where PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty Course comes in. During your PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty Course, you'll not only cover the background knowledge related to dry suit diving, you'll get into confined water to put that theory into practice. You'll learn new buoyancy skills, emergency procedures for over inflation and how to avoid feet first ascents! Then, once you've mastered confined water, it's time for two open water dives and applying that knowledge, including dive planning, organization, techniques, problems and buoyancy control.
We typically run the Dry Suit Specialty every couple of months. It involves a classroom session, pool orientation followed by two open water training dives. Check our Dive Calendar for upcoming dates.
The Dry Suit Specialty costs €175. As always, a deposit of €100 is needed to secure your place on this Course. The balance should be paid before training dives begin. Divers need to have their own dry suit to participate on this Course.
Divers buying a Dry Suit Package, i.e. dry suit, undersuit and ankle weights, will get a discount off their equipment package and a discount off the Dry Suit Specialty. Call us on 041 988 7900 or email us for more information or to book your place on the next Dry Suit Specialty.
